Mission Statement:
"The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department constantly seeks to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Brunswick by providing community-oriented programs and city-wide beautification."

The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department serves as a fulcrum of the community by providing clean and safe parks and highly productive recreation programs for the citizens of Brunswick. The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department function collectively with two divisions; Parks and Programs.

The Office of the Director consists of the Director and the Administrative Secretary. Reggie Jackson serves as the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department's Director. Since his arrival, Mr. Jackson has lead the department in the direction of procuring and maintaining the significance of productive recreation programs and beautiful safe park areas and facilities.

The Parks Division's primary responsibility is to maintain the landscape, secure safe equipment for parks, athletic areas, and facilities for the leisure enjoyment of citizens.

Howard Coffin Park:
Location: 1430 Lanier Blvd
This park serves as the main headquarters for the department along with:
  • Four Tennis Courts
  • Four Baseball/Softball Diamonds
  • Two Soccer/Football Fields
  • Half-Mile Walking Track
  • Playgrounds/Picnic Areas

Roosevelt Lawrence Community Center:
Location: 1109 H Street
The center is equipped with popular and traditional recreational game tables, two classrooms, and a multi-purpose gymnasium to facilitates the recreational needs of youth and adults.

The Programs Division of the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for providing comprehensive recreation programs to fulfill the leisure needs for the youth and adults of the City of Brunswick. In addition, local clubs and associations are co-sponsored to broaden the leisure pleasures of the citizens. Special programs such as the After-school, Holiday, Summer Day camps, and Enrichment Programs provide young citizens with the endless-benefits of being in a structured and supervised environment.
