The trip is 33 miles one way. When the removal is completed the winning contractor will then provide soil for backfilling the excavated site. Proposals will be received until Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Proposals should be in accordance with the specification and procedures available online by accessing the city's web site brunswickga.org and clicking on purchasing. Any information, pictures, literature, pricing and including exceptions to the City of Brunswick's specifications must be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked with the date, time and name of the project, no later than 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19th, 2008. The City of Brunswick Commissioners may (i) reject any, any part of, or all of the proposals to fulfill the City's requirements, (ii) waive informalities and technicalities, (iii) negotiate directly with any party submitting a bid or proposal, or (iv) accept that bid or proposal which the City deems to be in its best interest, whether or not it is the lowest dollar proposal. None of the soil samples analyzed failed the TCLP analyses. Based on this information, we are proceeding as if there are no hazardous waste soils on site.
