Purpose & Background
The Brunswick-Glynn Economic Development Authority - also known as the Golden Isles Development Authority was created on June 22, 1992 with the purpose of developing, promoting, and expanding for public good and welfare, industry, agriculture, commerce, natural resources, and vocational training and the making of long-range plans for the coordination of such development, promotion, and expansion within the territorial limits of Glynn County and the City of Brunswick.
