Thanksgiving 2022

Purpose

To meet the nutritional and respite care needs of the senior citizens in a congregate setting.  Spouses of qualified clients are also accepted.

Mission

To enrich and promote a better quality of life for senior citizens.

Congregate Meals

A hot midday meal is provided five days a week at 11:30 a.m. in a congregate setting.  Meals are prepared on-site and meet one-third of the daily nutritional requirements.  Click Here to access the menu.

Hours of Operation for the Center

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Transportation provided on a fixed route system.

Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services (ADS) are provided in the Stephens/Williams Annex.  The Annex was constructed in 1999 and was designed for the needs of older adults.  This service is available for individuals in need of extensive support including memory loss.  All services are provided in a safe,  caring and nurturing environment.  Trained nurses and activity coordinators work in this program.  Specialized care is also offered to participants coping with Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders.

ADS is an income based service program with applicable fees for program participants.

Donations are always accepted for center programming.  If you wish to make a tax deductible donation, please make your check payable to the Roosevelt Harris, Jr. Senior Citizens Center and a receipt will be mailed to you.
